Arlene's Graphic Design Portfolio
Hello and Welcome to my Portfolio!
My name is Arlene Santiago. I am currently 16 years old and will be going to Bolsa Grande High School for my junior year in the fall. I created this website because I am enrolled in a Graphic Design Class, in which I will be using this web location as a "home" for all of my projects.
So... if you're interested go ahead and keep reading!
Though many find it hard to believe, I enjoy playing video games such as Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, Halo, and Super Smash Bros. I also love music! I listen mostly to Christian rap and worship music, but occasionally I listen to some classical and a little bit of rock. I'm a bit of a nerd, so when my nose isn't glued to my bible, I enjoy reading very much, especially fictional novels. I could spend hours at a bookstore such as Barnes and Noble, flipping pages and searching through book titles. I hope to someday become a novelist myself, or who knows, maybe a journalist or an English teacher. English is my favorite subject, and writing is my forte. If I get the opportunity to pursue it I will.
Activities
I love God. That's no secret! I'm a proud member of fellowship club at school! I hope to get more involved this upcoming school year by helping to organize events and inviting more people. Basically, in fellowship we read our bibles,share testimonies,general thoughts, prayers, and experiences with one another.
I go to Streetlight Church. I know, I know, it's not a common name, but we're not a common church. Anyway, we started a new ministry, dance ministry! It's perfect, or at least, I think so. I like to call us a "baby" ministry because we're just getting started, but I know we'll grow. I love all of my friends in dance, they're so funny and encouraging, it's a stress reliever, and I've always loved to dance. What a great way to combine the two things I love the most, God and dance.
Oh yeah, and I'm a cheerleader. SURPRISE! Yes, I do have pom-poms, and no, you can't play with them. I enjoy cheering at football and basketball games, and of course I love competition season. Being a cheerleader has been quite the experience, it's a lot of hard work and sometimes a bit time consuming but it is very rewarding.

My Future
I'm not certain about where I'm going in the future, all I know is God has a plan for me, so I'm living my life the best I can and the only way I know how; keeping my eyes on the road ahead of me, praying for guidance through the trials and temptations that come my way, hoping for everlasting joy, and glorifying the name of the Lord, my God.
